die Hohe 8 die Hohe 8 die Hohe 8 die Hohe 8 Cycling tracks: The holiday flat is very close to the cycle track network of the Ahrweiler. If you go south 4 miles you are on the volcanic wheel route of the Eifel. From here you can go from Quidelbach to the Nürburgring, through Müllenbach to Kelberg, then on to Ulmen Auderath continuing all the way on to the Mosel. If you go Northwest you reach Dümpelfeld die Ahr, where another cycle track begins. More information can be found at www.ahr-radweg.de.

For mountain bike riders, the Eiffel offers limitless opportunites with endless routes and rides layed out around the the north loop of the Nürburgrings. 

You can also book guided rides with Breuer's Bikeshop in Adenau, they also rent bicycles. 
 

Walking ways: The local goverment has also created a network of walks, which is connected with the supraregional walking network of the Eifel association. You can enjoy the untouched nature, and because of one of the three walking routes goes to the community of Adenau, you can look at â��on the ways of old millsâ��, â��on the traces of green hellâ�� and â��on the traces of the medal knightsâ��. A beautiful walk though the the vineyard terraces of the red wine is also close by. 
 

The Nurburgring is, quite simply, the ultimate driving experience. 13 miles and at least 73* bends add up to what even top racing drivers describe as the most demanding circuit in the world. It's impossible to describe just how good it is until you've been there, but if you can imagine your favourite mountain road and your favourite race-track, and combine the best bits of the two, you'll get the general idea.

Other great things to do:
Phantasialand in Brühl is about an hours drive away.

 

Cologne Zoo is also less than an hour away.

Wild park at Klotten is another great place to visit for people with younger children (5-10 years)



To recommend also a trip is to the impressive Maaren of the volcanic Eifel. 

In Adenau you find a well equiped swimming pool with both open air and indoor pool, you can place tennis as well as a riding site on the Hirzenstein. 

You can fish at the Barweiler mill. 

Also you can book guide quadbike tours through the forest. 

Also in the winter the Eifel offers its attractions: On the high eight the possibility for the Rodeln, ski long run and it is offered even gives a ski elevator. There are 2 Schlepplifte in Nürburg and Jammelshofen.
